The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has published several permanent employment opportunities across multiple branches within the South African public service. Deputy Director: Financial Management (Payroll) – Pretoria
Salary: R896,436 per annum (Level 11, all-inclusive)
Requirements include an NQF Level 7 qualification in a finance-related field, at least three years’ management or supervisory experience, and extensive knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, payroll systems, and SAP.
Responsibilities include payroll oversight, regulatory compliance, audit management, reporting, and staff supervision.
Assistant Director: Financial Accounting (Payroll) – Pretoria
Salary: R468,459 per annum (Level 9)
Applicants must hold an NQF Level 7 qualification in Financial Management, with supervisory experience and SAP exposure.
Duties include salary processing, employee tax deductions, payroll reconciliations, and audit support.
Scientific Technician (Grade A–C) – Roodeplaat
Salary: R391,671 – R586,665 per annum (OSD)
