1. Deputy Director: Budget & Expenditure Control

Location: Kimberley
Salary: R896,436 per year (Level 11)

This management position focuses on financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring departmental expenditure. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing cash flow reporting, budget preparation, compliance with financial legislation, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • BCom degree or diploma in Financial Management

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting

2. Deputy Director: Risk Management

Requirements

  • Degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Internal Auditing, or Business Management

Registration with the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) will be advantageous.


3. District Engineer (Grade A)

Location: Springbok
Salary: R879,342 per year

This role focuses on managing provincial road infrastructure projects and overseeing road maintenance programmes within the district.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (BEng or BSc Engineering)

  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience

  • Professional registration with ECSA

  • Knowledge of road construction regulations and project management


4. Engineering Technologist

Salary: R453,576 per year

Engineering Technologists will support engineering teams by providing technical expertise for infrastructure projects, research activities, and development initiatives.

Requirements

  • BTech in Engineering

5. Chief Works Inspectors (Building & Mechanical)

Location: Kimberley
Salary: R397,116 per year

These positions involve inspecting construction and maintenance projects to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Construction or Mechanical Engineering

  • 3–5 years relevant experience

The Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison is conducting a large recruitment drive for Cashiers (Revenue Clerks) at vehicle registration authorities across the Northern Cape.

Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per year
