North West Government Announces Senior Management Vacancies in Community Safety and Transport

The Department of Community Safety and Transport Management in the North West Province has officially opened applications for two senior management positions.   1. Director: Supply Chain Management

This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in financial management and procurement systems. The successful applicant will oversee supply chain functions, including asset management, logistics, and acquisition planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain management policies
  • Manage procurement and asset systems
  • Oversee demand and acquisition planning processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act
  • Lead strategic resource planning and performance management initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of five years’ experience at senior management level
  • Proficiency in systems such as PERSAL, BAS, and LOGIS
  1. Director: Legal Services
  • Reference Number: 72/2025/26
  • Location: Mahikeng (Head Office)
  • Salary: R1,266,741 per annum (inclusive package)

This role is suited to experienced legal professionals with strong expertise in public sector legislation and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advisory services
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with legal frameworks
  • Oversee litigation processes in collaboration with the State Attorney
  • Support labour relations and promote legal compliance within the department

Minimum Requirements:

  • LLB Degree (NQF Level 7)
  • At least five years’ experience in a senior legal management role
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, including the Labour Relations Act and the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act
