Limpopo Provincial Treasury Vacancies 2026: Senior Management and Finance Posts

The Limpopo Provincial Treasury invites suitably qualified and experienced professionals to apply for a range of senior management, deputy director, and assistant director positions for the 2026 recruitment cycle. Available Positions

The current recruitment drive includes posts within management, municipal finance, budgeting, governance, auditing, and financial systems, including:

Director (Level 13) positions in:

  • Transversal Contract Management

  • Financial Systems Implementation

  • Risk-Based and Information Systems Audit

Deputy Director (Level 11) positions in:

  • Municipal Finance and Governance

  • Budget Management

  • Transversal Contract Management

  • Macro Economic Analysis

  • Fiscal Policy Analysis (Revenue)

  • Governance Monitoring and Compliance

  • Systems Administration

Assistant Director (Level 9) positions in:

  • Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Public Finance and Data Management

  • Provincial Asset Management

All positions are based at the Provincial Treasury Head Office in Polokwane.

Salary Packages

  • Director (Level 13): R1 266 714 per annum (all-inclusive package)

  • Deputy Director (Level 11): R896 436 per annum (all-inclusive package)

  • Assistant Director (Level 9): R468 459 per annum

Salary packages are determined in accordance with DPSA prescripts and may be adjusted based on individual circumstances.

Minimum Requirements

While requirements differ by post, applicants are generally required to have:

  • A relevant NQF Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Finance, Accounting, SCM, Economics, Auditing, IT Systems, or a related field

  • Appropriate management or supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Public Service Regulations

  • A valid driver’s licence (except where disability applies)

  • Strong leadership, analytical, financial management, and communication skills

Professional registrations such as CA(SA), CIA, PIA, RA, or Government Auditor will be an added advantage for audit-related posts.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

  • Strategic financial planning, budgeting, and expenditure management

  • Oversight of supply chain management and transversal contracts

  • Implementation and support of financial management systems

  • Municipal finance monitoring, compliance, and support

  • Risk management, governance, and internal audit functions

  • Economic and fiscal policy analysis

  • Management of performance agreements, risk registers, and compliance reporting
