Key Vacancies Available

1. Principal Court Interpreter

  • Salary: R397 116 – R467 790 per annum

  • Location: Upington Magistrate Office

  • Reference: 22/25/NC/UPT

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4

  • National Diploma in Legal Interpreting or related qualification

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience (including 2 years supervisory)

  • Language proficiency (English and indigenous languages)

  • Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise interpreters within the district

  • Provide court interpretation services

  • Translate legal documents and exhibits

  • Manage interpreter scheduling and resources


2. Assistant State Attorney (LP3–LP4)

  • Salary: R377 523 – R659 436 per annum

  • Location: Cape Town

  • Reference: 17/2026/SA/WC

Requirements:

  • LLB degree

  • Admission as an Attorney

  • At least 2 years litigation experience

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the state in court

  • Draft legal opinions and contracts

  • Manage litigation and debt recovery


3. Senior Court Interpreter (5 Posts)

Locations: Somerset West, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, Pretoria, Springbok

Requirements:

  • Legal Interpreting Diploma OR extensive experience

  • Minimum 3 years practical experience

Duties:

  • Court interpretation

  • Translation of legal documents

  • Supervision of junior interpreters


4. Assistant Master (2 Posts)

Locations: Pretoria and Johannesburg

Requirements:

  • LLB degree

  • Knowledge of estate and trust administration

Responsibilities:

  • Administer deceased estates

  • Oversee trusts and guardian funds

  • Handle insolvency matters


5. Administration / Court Clerk (7 Posts)

Locations: Calvinia, Kimberley, Pampierstad, Groblershoop, Postmasburg, De Aar

Duties:

  • Maintain court records

  • Provide clerical and administrative support


6. Administration Clerk (7 Posts)

Locations: Vanderbijlpark, Johannesburg, Bellville, Mitchells Plain, Caledon

Responsibilities:

  • General administrative support

7. Court Interpreter (4 Posts)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation in court

  • Translate legal documents


8. Messenger

  • Salary: R193 359 – R227 766

  • Location: Cape Town

Duties:

  • Deliver documents

  • Transport officials

  • Handle mail distribution


9. Security Officer

  • Salary: R163 680 – R192 810

  • Location: Mossel Bay

Requirements:

  • Grade 12

  • PSIRA Grade C

Responsibilities:

  • Access control

  • CCTV monitoring

  • Ensure building safety
