  • Salary: R1,494,900 per annum

This role is responsible for leading national oceanographic and coastal research programmes, coordinating long-term monitoring initiatives, developing scientific systems, and advising on environmental policy.


Director Positions (Various Disciplines)

  • Salary: R1,266,714 per annum

  • Locations: Pretoria, Limpopo, Mpumalanga

Scientific Manager: Marine Biodiversity Research

  • Salary: R1,099,488 per annum

This position focuses on marine biodiversity research, policy integration, stakeholder engagement, and scientific programme coordination.

Scientist Production Grade A (Physical Oceanography)

  • Salary: R761,157 per annum
