Inspector: Nuclear Enforcement & Compliance

Salary: R932,292 per annum (Level 11)
Location: Pretoria Head Office
The department is seeking a qualified professional with specialised knowledge in nuclear compliance and regulatory enforcement.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science or Honours Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering at NQF Level 7, recognised by SAQA. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience within the nuclear industry or nuclear non-proliferation environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct inspections at nuclear facilities
- Monitor compliance with nuclear legislation and regulations
- Participate in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections
- Support the implementation of nuclear safeguards
- Develop inspection guidelines and compliance frameworks
The role further requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to travel locally and internationally when required.
Personal Assistant: Internal Audit

Salary: R338,106 per annum (Level 7)
Location: Pretoria Head Office
The DEE is also recruiting a Personal Assistant within the Internal Audit division.
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Office Administration, Office Management and Technology, or Public Administration at NQF Level 6. A minimum of one year post-qualification experience is required.
Main Duties
The successful applicant will:
- Provide receptionist and secretariat support
- Assist with administrative coordination
- Support budget administration processes
- Organise meetings and departmental documentation
- Ensure compliance with public service policies and procedures
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and computer literacy skills.
