Mpumalanga Department of Health Vacancies 2026: Multiple Posts Available

The Mpumalanga Department of Health (MPDoH) has announced a broad range of employment opportunities for the 2026 recruitment cycle. Senior and Management Posts

  • Director: Emergency Medical Services, Planned Patient Transport & Disaster Management

  • Deputy Director: Financial Management

  • Deputy Director: Health Promotion

  • Deputy Director: Institutional Improvement (Re-advertised)

  • Deputy Director: Health Facility Planner

These positions require experienced professionals with proven leadership, strategic planning, and governance capabilities.

Medical Specialists and Medical Officers

  • Head: Clinical Unit (Medical) – Oncology

  • Medical Specialist – Orthodontist

  • Medical Officer (Grades 1, 2 and 3) – Various hospitals in Nkangala, Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni Districts

  • Medical Officer: Family Medicine

The above roles are suitable for registered medical practitioners seeking career growth within the public health sector.

Nursing and Allied Health Posts

  • Operational Manager Nursing (PHC) – 10 posts at clinics and Community Health Centres

  • Pharmacist Grade 1 – Bernice Samuel Hospital

  • Assistant Director: Radiographer Grade 1

These posts contribute directly to frontline healthcare delivery and facility management.

Salary Packages

Remuneration packages are competitive and aligned with public service regulations:

  • Approximately R638 000 per annum for entry-level professional posts

  • Up to R2.2 million per annum for senior specialist and management positions

Senior Management Service (SMS) posts offer all-inclusive salary packages.
