The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has announced employment opportunities at its National Office in Pretoria. These positions offer skilled professionals the opportunity to contribute to a key government oversight body responsible for investigating police misconduct.

Available Vacancies

1. Assistant Director: Supply Chain Management (Logistics and Disposal)

  • Reference: Q9/2026/22

  • Salary: R468,459 per year (Level 09)

  • Location: Pretoria – National Office

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics

  • 3–5 years supervisory-level logistics management experience

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of government financial systems and regulations (LOGIS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM policies)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics and inventory systems

  • Coordinate procurement and requisitions

  • Monitor inventory control and stock management

  • Oversee safekeeping and distribution of goods

  • Manage disposal of obsolete or redundant stock

  • Supervise logistics and disposal staff

  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and document management

2. Senior Labour Relations Officer

  • Reference: Q9/2026/24

  • Salary: R397,116 per year (Level 08)

  • Location: Pretoria – National Office

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, or Law

  • 3–5 years’ experience in employee or labour relations

  • Knowledge of Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Public Service Regulations

  • Valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grievances and disciplinary cases

  • Represent the department in dispute forums (CCMA, bargaining councils)

  • Advise management and staff on labour relations matters

  • Assist in developing labour relations policies

  • Conduct training on disciplinary procedures and legislation

  • Maintain case management records and reports

Selection Process:
