Department of Home Affairs Announces Multiple Vacancies Across South Africa for 2026

Salary: R932,292 – R1,098,195 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ management experience within Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of labour relations, employee wellness programmes, HR systems, and public service legislation.

Deputy Director: Labour Relations

A senior Labour Relations vacancy is available at the DHA Head Office in Tshwane.

Salary: R932,292 – R1,098,195 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, Law, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years’ management experience in labour relations.
  • Strong understanding of labour legislation, collective bargaining processes, dispute resolution, and CCMA procedures.

Deputy Director: Revenue Management

The department is recruiting a qualified professional to oversee revenue management operations and financial compliance functions.

Salary: R932,292 – R1,098,195 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Three years’ experience at Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes, Treasury Regulations, PFMA requirements, and revenue management systems.

Assistant Director: Amendments and Rectification

This position focuses on managing amendments and corrections to records maintained within the National Population Register.

Salary: R605,742 – R713,535 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Operations Management, Public Administration, or Business Management.
  • Three years’ supervisory experience in operations or customer service environments.
  • Knowledge of citizenship, immigration, and public administration legislation.

Assistant Director: Labour Relations (2 Positions)

Two opportunities are available for experienced labour relations practitioners.

Salary: R487,197 – R573,897 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Three years’ relevant experience in labour relations.
  • Knowledge of grievance management, disciplinary procedures, and labour legislation.

Senior Fingerprint Expert: Post Receipt and Pre-Processing

The department requires an experienced candidate to support fingerprint verification and civic services processes.

Salary: R413,001 – R486,501 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Operations Management, or Business Management.
  • Two years’ relevant experience in customer service, civic services, or fingerprint verification.
  • Understanding of civic services legislation and verification procedures.

Civic Services Clerk: Births and Deaths

This role involves processing registrations and maintaining accurate population records.

Salary: R280,278 – R330,162 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Operations Management, or Business Management.
  • One year of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of birth and death registration procedures.

Civic Services Clerk: Duplicates

The department is seeking a detail-oriented individual to assist with duplicate identity document investigations and records administration.

Salary: R280,278 – R330,162 per annum

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Operations Management, Public Management, or Business Management.
  • One year of administrative or client service experience.
  • Good computer literacy and attention to detail.
