The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), in collaboration with several Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges, has announced a range of employment opportunities for the 2026 academic year. Vacancies are available at False Bay TVET College, Southern Cape TVET College, and Tshwane South TVET College.

These opportunities span senior management, professional, technical, and administrative roles. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to submit applications before the respective closing dates.

Assistant Director Positions – False Bay TVET College

Assistant Director: Partnerships and Linkages

  • Salary: R582 444 per annum (Level 10)

  • Location: Central Office, False Bay TVET College

The position is responsible for establishing and managing strategic partnerships with industry, government, and external stakeholders. Key duties include project proposal development, funding coordination, research management, and oversight of work-integrated learning initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric and an NQF Level 6 qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience

  • Experience in project management or business development

Assistant Director: Student Support Services

  • Salary: R582 444 per annum (Level 10)

  • Location: Central Office, False Bay TVET College

The incumbent will manage student support services across campuses, including counselling, career guidance, SRC governance, sport, wellness programmes, and policy implementation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Psychology, Social Work, or Education

  • At least 3 years’ supervisory experience in student support or education

Closing Date: 12 February 2026

Southern Cape TVET College Vacancies

Project Manager: NSF and Special Projects

  • Salary: R468 459 per annum plus 37% benefits

  • Contract: 3-year fixed-term

  • Location: Central Office, George

The role entails managing NSF and SETA-funded projects, proposal development, monitoring and evaluation, and financial reporting.

Programme Manager: Early Childhood Development

  • Salary: R397 116 per annum plus 37% benefits

  • Location: Oudtshoorn Campus

This position is suited to experienced ECD professionals with expertise in programme management and quality assurance within occupational learning environments.

Closing Date for Both Posts: 06 February 2026

Tshwane South TVET College Vacancies

Available positions include:

  • Senior Administration Officer (SHERQ)

  • Senior Labour Relations Officer

  • Senior IT Technician

  • Senior MIS Officer

  • Employee Health and Wellness Practitioner

  • Student Support Officer / Liaison Officer

  • Campus Administrator

  • Secretary: Deputy Principal (Corporate Services)

  • Administration Clerks (2 Contract Posts)

Salary Range: R228 321 – R397 116 per annum
Closing Date: 06 February 2026
