The role focuses on evaluating transformation programmes and producing analytical insights to improve policies and programme outcomes within the Department of Defence.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification
-
National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:

Social Sciences
-
Public Administration
-
Human Resource Management
-

Qualification must include Research Methodology at NQF Level 6

Minimum 3 years’ experience at junior management level

Demonstrated experience in:

Report writing
-
Designing and implementing evaluation frameworks

Research methods and statistical analysis

Transformation and equity principles

Key Skills and Competencies

Main Responsibilities
Programme Evaluation
-
Coordinate and manage evaluations of transformation programmes.

Assess programme effectiveness, outcomes, and overall impact.
Research and Policy Support

Lead research initiatives related to transformation and organisational change.

Provide evidence-based recommendations to support policy development.
Data Collection and Analysis
-
Develop and review evaluation tools including:

Surveys
-
Questionnaires
-
Assessment frameworks
-
Reporting and Communication
-
Produce structured reports and presentations based on research findings.

Support leadership with data-driven insights for decision-making.
HR Transformation Monitoring

Monitor HR policies and practices to ensure alignment with equity and transformation objectives.
Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor evaluation and research personnel.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical outputs.
