The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director: ICT Project Management at its National Office in Pretoria.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ICT-related projects, ensuring effective delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budget. The role also requires adherence to governance standards and active stakeholder engagement.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A Degree or Higher National Diploma (NQF Level 7) in:
    • Business Administration, or
    • Information Technology
  • A recognised Project Management certification (e.g., Prince2)
  • 2–3 years’ relevant experience in business or systems analysis or related fields
  • A valid driver’s license

  • Business Analysis
  • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Open-Source Software (OSS)

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, define scope, and manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Performance Monitoring: Track progress, compile reports, and ensure successful project completion
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Manage relationships, contracts, and service level agreements
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
