National Treasury Vacancies 2026: Senior Management and Specialist Positions in Pretoria
The National Treasury has opened applications for a range of senior management and specialist roles for the 2026 recruitment cycle. These Pretoria-based positions provide experienced professionals with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to South Africa’s fiscal policy development, debt and asset management, financial administration, and government digital communications.

Management Echelon Positions
Director: Policy Costings (Ref: S013/2026)
Salary: R1 266 714 per annum (all-inclusive)
Division: Tax and Financial Sector Policy
This role is responsible for analysing the revenue implications of tax proposals through advanced modelling and research. The incumbent will develop and maintain microsimulation models for CIT, PIT, and VAT, contribute to annual tax reviews, and provide analytical inputs into budget publications.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics

At least 5 years’ managerial experience in tax policy research and analysis
Director: Multi-Media and Production Management (Ref: S007/2026)
Salary: R1 266 714 per annum (all-inclusive)
Division: Corporate Services
This position oversees the strategic management of multimedia production and digital communication across National Treasury platforms, including leadership of creative teams, budget management, and external representation.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or Communication
