Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate

Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics (NQF Level 7)

A minimum of two years’ experience in an agricultural economics environment

Valid driver’s license
Knowledge and Skills
Candidates should have knowledge or experience in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities
Market Linkage Programme

Investigate market requirements for agricultural products

Disseminate market information to assist historically disadvantaged individuals (HDIs) in accessing markets

Promote compliance with food safety standards among producers and processors
Market Access and Trade Administration

Manage import and export quotas in accordance with international trade agreements
-
Issue rebate permits and monitor their utilisation
-
Ensure compliance with permit conditions
SME Participation Support

Promote participation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in rebate schemes
-
Encourage compliance with BEE sector codes among programme participants
Administrative Duties
-
Provide administrative support to management and clients
-
Prepare reports, memoranda, and official correspondence

Perform other administrative functions as required
