Available Vacancies

Chief Engineer Grade A – Dam Safety Regulation

Location: Pretoria Head Office
Salary: R1,266,450 – R1,446,921 per annum (all-inclusive)

This senior management position is responsible for dam classification, safety regulation, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring. The role also includes policy development, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of professional staff.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineer registration with ECSA

  • Extensive experience in dam engineering and safety

  • Willingness to travel nationally

Engineer Production Grade A–C (Civil – Dam Design)

Location: Pretoria Head Office
Salary: R879,342 – R1,323,267 per annum

The successful candidate will be involved in dam design, technical reviews, project management, and mentoring of junior engineers. Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic analysis, and dam safety standards is required.

Engineer Production Grade A–C (Open Channel Systems)

Location: Pretoria Head Office
Salary: R879,342 – R1,323,267 per annum

This role focuses on the design, rehabilitation, and analysis of bulk water conveyance systems, including canals, spillways, siphons, and related hydraulic structures.

Added advantage: Experience in HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, flood studies, and project management.

Chief Artisan Grade A (Electrical)

Location: Hartbeespoort Area Office
Salary: R480,261 per annum

The incumbent will manage electrical maintenance operations for government water schemes, including supervision of staff, safety compliance, planned maintenance, and oversight of pumps, motors, transformers, and control systems.

Requirement: Valid electrical trade test with substantial post-qualification experience.

Human Resource Clerk Supervisor

Location: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07)

This role supports human resource operations such as recruitment administration, appointments, benefits management, PERSAL transactions, and staff supervision. Preference may be given to candidates from the local area.
