Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Announces Senior Government Vacancies (Pretoria)
The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for two permanent senior management positions based in Pretoria. 1. Government Information Technology Officer (GITO)
Reference: DWYPD/003/2026
Salary: R1,266,741 per annum (Level 13 – all-inclusive package)
Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements
-
Recognised NQF Level 7 qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related field
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at middle or senior management level in ICT or Information Management
-
SMS Pre-Entry Programme certificate from the National School of Government (mandatory prior to appointment)
-
Experience in ICT governance, project management, stakeholder and supplier management
-
Professional certifications (CGEIT, CISA, CISM, TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, ISO standards, King IV) will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide strategic leadership for ICT and digital transformation initiatives
-
Develop and oversee ICT governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards

Manage ICT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service delivery
-
Oversee ICT contracts, service level agreements, and financial resources

Represent the Department in GITO Council and stakeholder engagements

2. Deputy Director: Risk and Integrity Management

Salary: R896,436 per annum (Level 11 – all-inclusive package)
Location: Pretoria
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 and a Degree in Risk Management or related field (NQF Level 7)
-
At least 5 years’ experience in risk and integrity management, including 3 years at supervisory or middle management level

Knowledge of public sector risk frameworks, governance systems, fraud prevention, and internal audit processes
-
IRMSA membership will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and maintain the Department’s risk management framework and risk register
-
Coordinate business continuity and emergency management plans
-
Lead fraud and corruption prevention initiatives and investigations
-
Promote ethics, integrity, and compliance with governance requirements
-
Manage human and financial resources within the sub-directorate
