Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience within a Human Resource environment.
  • Knowledge of Public Service legislation, policies, and HR administration procedures.
  • Understanding of registry functions, records management, and data administration.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to work with electronic HR systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will oversee and coordinate a range of HR administration functions, including:

Human Resource Provisioning

  • Recruitment and selection administration.
  • Processing appointments and transfers.
  • Qualification verification.
  • Secretariat support during interviews.
  • Administration of probation and staff absorption processes.

Employee Benefits and Conditions of Service

  • Leave administration.
  • Medical aid and housing benefits.
  • Injury on duty claims.
  • Long-service awards.
  • Overtime and relocation benefits.
  • Pension administration and employee allowances.

Human Resource Administration

  • Processing transactions on the PERSAL system.
  • Supporting performance management processes.
  • Preparing HR reports and statistical data.
  • Responding to HR-related enquiries.

Staff Supervision

  • Allocating and monitoring work.
  • Supporting employee development.
  • Conducting performance assessments.
  • Implementing disciplinary procedures where necessary.
