Salary: R1,554,696 per annum (Level 14)

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving strategic planning, performance monitoring, and evaluation processes within the department. The successful candidate will oversee organisational performance systems and contribute to evidence-based decision-making.

Medical Inspector

Location: Pretoria Head Office
Salary: R1,317,384 per annum (Level 13)

The department seeks a qualified occupational medicine specialist to manage health-related functions within the mining sector. Key responsibilities include reviewing medical appeals, analysing occupational health data, supporting investigations, and providing expert guidance on occupational diseases and public health concerns affecting mining communities.

Senior Inspector: Occupational Hygiene

Location: Klerksdorp, North West
Salary: R1,101,468 per annum (Level 12)

This position focuses on coordinating inspections, audits, investigations, and compliance activities related to occupational hygiene. The role supports the protection of mine workers from workplace health risks and exposure hazards.

Inspector: Occupational Hygiene

Location: Welkom, Free State
Salary: R932,292 per annum (Level 11)

The successful applicant will conduct workplace inspections, monitor occupational exposure levels, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with occupational hygiene standards across mining operations.

Inspector: Mine Health and Safety

Location: Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Salary: R932,292 per annum (Level 11)

This role involves conducting mine safety inspections, investigating accidents, assessing compliance with safety regulations, and contributing to initiatives aimed at improving mine health and safety outcomes.
