The Department of Agriculture is recruiting skilled professionals for several specialised positions across the province.

One of the key vacancies is for State Veterinarian: Animal Health, with two positions available in Worcester and George. The role offers an annual salary package exceeding R932,000 and requires registration with the South African Veterinary Council, together with at least one year of post-qualification experience. Another important opening is for Scientific Technician: Nutrition and Product Quality, based in Stellenbosch. Candidates must hold a National Diploma in Animal Production and be registered with SACNASP. The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport has advertised senior administrative and planning positions for qualified professionals.

Among the highlighted vacancies is the Deputy Director: Departmental Planning role, offering a salary package ranging from R932,292 to over R1 million annually. The successful candidate will manage strategic planning processes, annual performance plans, and departmental reporting systems.

An additional opportunity is available for an Office Manager in the Office of the Chief Director: Sport and Recreation. The role requires at least five years of relevant administrative experience and focuses on office coordination, stakeholder communication, project tracking, and operational management.

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism is currently recruiting professionals for project management and supply chain management roles.

A leading vacancy is Deputy Director: Cape Catalyst, designed for candidates with experience in infrastructure development and public sector project management.
