Mpumalanga Department of Health Vacancies 2026: Senior Medical, Engineering and Management Positions

The Mpumalanga Department of Health (MPDoH) has announced the opening of applications for various senior medical, engineering, nursing, pharmacy, and management positions for the 2026 intake. These vacancies are aimed at strengthening public healthcare delivery across provincial, district, and tertiary health facilities.

Medical Specialist and Clinical Vacancies

Head: Clinical Unit (Grade 1)
Specialisations and Locations:

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology – Witbank Hospital

  • Paediatric Cardiology – Rob Ferreira Hospital

Salary: R2 084 754 – R2 212 680 per annum

Applicants must be registered with the HPCSA as specialists, have a minimum of five years’ post-registration experience, and demonstrate competence in clinical governance, training, and operational management.

Medical Specialists

  • Urology – Rob Ferreira Hospital

  • Paediatrics – Themba Hospital

Salary: R1 341 855 – R1 422 810 per annum

Responsibilities include delivery of specialised clinical services, participation in teaching and training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Medical Officers (Grades 1–3)
Departments: Trauma and Emergency, General Medical Services
Hospitals: Bethal, King Nyabela, Rob Ferreira, Embhuleni, Evander, and Ermelo Hospitals

Salary: R1 001 349 – R1 647 630 per annum

These posts are open to newly qualified and experienced medical practitioners. Shift work is compulsory.

Pharmacy and Nursing Management Posts

Manager: Pharmaceutical Services
Location: King Nyabela Hospital
Salary: R1 322 352 – R1 422 810 per annum

Applicants must be registered with the SAPC and have extensive experience in pharmaceutical management, compliance, and budgeting.

Manager Nursing: Youth and Child Health
Location: Ehlanzeni District Office
Salary: R1 155 099 – R1 320 732 per annum

The role involves oversight of child, adolescent, and school health programmes, policy development, and district-level technical support.

Engineering and Built Environment Vacancies

Senior infrastructure-related posts are available to support healthcare facility development and maintenance.

Chief Engineering and Quantity Surveying Posts
